US Government Accountability Office seal. Public Law 115-3 gives the GAO full access to records of other federal agencies, in order to investigate possible fraud or abuse of government benefit programs.

Gives the Government Accountability Office (GAO) full access to records of other federal agencies, in order to investigate possible fraud or abuse of government benefit programs including food stamps, unemployment insurance, and student loans.  It gives the GAO the ability to sue other federal agencies if they do not surrender the records the GAO is requesting.
